The backrest of this chair wraps forward from behind, curving around the sides of the body and meeting the walnut armrest frame at a clean seam on each side. The top of the backrest is rounded and smooth. The inner face — the surface the sitter leans against — is cream teddy bouclé, generously padded. The outer face is also upholstered in the same fabric, so the chair reads as finished from every angle.

The armrests are solid walnut-toned arcs — each one a single curved rail that rises from the front leg, sweeps upward and backward, and meets the side of the backrest at the seam. Between the armrest rail and the seat frame, a triangular negative space is left open. This open triangle — visible from the front and the side — is as much a part of the design as the wood around it. The arc of the armrest rail is smooth and continuous, with no sharp angles or visible joints.

The four legs splay outward in all four directions, tapering from a wider section at the top to a narrow point at the floor. The front legs are continuous with the armrest frame — the wood rises from the floor, curves into the armrest, and meets the backrest without interruption. The frame is deep walnut-toned throughout, with a smooth matte finish.
