Bay Furniture Twisted Braid Base Sintered Stone Dining Table

The tabletop is a large rectangle of sintered stone in warm ivory with a matte finish and a natural travertine-like open-pore texture. The corners are generously rounded. The edge profile is straight and clean.

The base is two sculptural pedestals, one at each end. Each pedestal is formed from multiple wide flat walnut-toned bands that twist around each other in a continuous clockwise spiral, fanning out at the base to meet the floor and converging at the top to meet the underside of the stone. The bands are wide and flat in cross-section — approximately 5–6cm wide and 2–3cm thick — and the twist is tight enough that the individual bands are difficult to count from a distance. Up close, the grain of the walnut runs through every twist, and the high-gloss finish catches the light differently on each face of each band.
