This is a two-piece set with two objects that share the same material and the same design logic: mass over structure, volume over detail, and natural material over surface treatment.

The large coffee table has an elongated oval travertine top — wider than a circle, narrower at one end than the other, like a stone smoothed into an asymmetric disc by water over a long period. The surface is natural travertine in warm ivory and sand tones, matte, with the open pore structure and horizontal flow lines of genuine stone. The base is two solid walnut-toned cylinder legs, each approximately 20–25cm in diameter — substantially thicker than any standard furniture leg. The two legs are positioned one at each end of the oval, supporting the stone from below with a smooth curved transition at the joint. From the front, the two thick cylinders and the stone disc above them read as a single composed object — two columns and a lintel, reduced to their most essential form.

The small side table is a solid walnut-toned drum — a single cylinder, approximately 30–35cm in diameter and 45–50cm tall, with a flat top surface and no additional elements. It is not a table with legs. It is a cylinder. The top surface is smooth and flat. The side surface is smooth and consistent in colour and grain throughout. It reads as a sculptural object that happens to function as a table.

Both images show the set in UAE living rooms. The first image is in a minimal white room with a sand-coloured armchair and a sisal rug — an open book and a ceramic mug sit on the travertine surface in afternoon light.
