The backrest of this chair is a complete semicircle — a continuous arc of cream teddy bouclé that wraps from one side of the chair to the other, curving around the back of the sitter and tapering at both ends where it meets the seat frame. The top surface of the backrest arc is upholstered. The inner face — the surface the sitter leans against — is upholstered. The outer face is also covered. The arc reads as a single, unbroken form from every angle.

Between the backrest and the seat, there is a single central post — a solid walnut-toned column, square in cross-section and approximately 8 × 8cm wide, rising from the centre of the seat frame to the centre of the backrest arc. The two sides of the chair between the backrest and the seat are fully open. The central post is the only structural connection between the backrest and the seat, and it is the most distinctive feature of this chair. The wood grain on the post is diagonal and varied — in the second image, the grain is fully visible in afternoon light, shifting between warm amber and deep brown across the face of the post.

The seat is a full circle of cream teddy bouclé, generously thick — approximately 12–15cm deep — with a rounded edge profile. The frame has three legs in a tripod-like arrangement, each square in cross-section with a flat base foot, in deep walnut tone. The legs provide a stable base for the circular seat and the semicircular backrest above it.
