The stem of this floor lamp is a single piece of solid wood, turned and shaped into a free-form curve that rises from a flat circular base to the lamp fitting at the top. The curve is not a geometric arc, not a repeated wave, not a designed bend — it is an organic form that follows no rule except the logic of a growing thing. The stem is widest at the lower third and tapers continuously to the top, where it meets the shade fitting. The taper is gradual and consistent, giving the piece a proportion that reads as natural rather than designed.

The second image shows the lamp in a corner, beside a cream leather armchair and a brass side table, on a polished concrete floor. The drum shade casts two symmetrical fan-shaped pools of light upward onto the wall and ceiling, and a broad warm wash downward onto the armchair and floor.
