Bay Furniture Circle Cutout Solid Walnut Dining Table

This is the only all-wood table in the Bay Furniture dining collection. The tabletop is solid walnut-toned wood — a wide rectangle with generously rounded corners and a softened edge profile, the surface matte and warm, with the natural grain running horizontally across the full width. There is no stone, no glass, no engineered surface. Just wood, from the top of the table to the floor.

The base is two solid walnut panels, one at each end, each approximately 3–4cm thick. Each panel has three large circular cutouts — clean-edged circles, each approximately 15–20cm in diameter, arranged vertically down the face of the panel. The circles are not decorative appliqués but full perforations through the panel — you can see the floor through them. From the side, the two panels read as a pair of sculptural screens. From the end of the table, each panel reads as a single solid form with three circular voids.

The second image shows the table from above, set for a Gulf coffee and dates service — ceramic cups, a stoneware jug, and a platter of dates on the warm walnut surface. The horizontal grain of the tabletop is visible across the full width. The circular cutouts of the base panels are visible at the corners of the image.

Styling Notes

The all-wood construction suits warm, natural interiors — sand walls, jute rugs, linen curtains, and ceramic tableware. The circular cutouts in the base panels pair naturally with round forms elsewhere in the room: round pendant lights, round mirrors, round ceramic vessels. Pair with upholstered armchairs in cream or white bouclé with walnut frames — the light chair fabric contrasts with the dark walnut table and keeps the room from reading too heavy. For a UAE setting, a platter of dates and ceramic coffee cups on the walnut surface is the natural table arrangement.
